Barron Surveying Services Ltd is delighted to announce yet another major contract award from a window installation company, covering both Devon and Cornwall.
Over the past seven years, Chartered Building Surveyor James Barron has worked with the company Wrekin Windows, which supplies and installs windows for one of the largest social housing providers in the South West.
Based in Telford, Shropshire, Wrekin Windows has specialised in social housing since 1985 and is one of Barron Surveying Services’ long standing clients.
It’s James’s job to provide planning application support that the installation company requires and such has been the quality of the service, Barron’s has been awarded another 12 month’s work, covering an area from Penzance to Dartmouth.
“I am sure there are lots of people who don’t realise the scope of services we actually offer, “said James.
“House surveys are obviously an integral part of our business, but we do undertake a lot of project management roles and offer our building surveying expertise in support of contracts like this one.”
All the buildings are converted, or purpose built blocks of flats, some with just three flats, while others have almost 50.
James must visit each building, where first he will draw and measure all the elevations. He will then prepare a report on the existing and proposed window styles, before submitting the necessary planning applications.
“It is a large scope of works and these applications need to be pushed through quickly, so it’s going to a be a very busy April and May for Team Barron,” said James.
“It’s a big area to cover too, in both Devon and Cornwall, but I know we are all equal to the challenge here at Barron’s Surveying Services.”
